About Me
My name is Kristine Shreve. I’ve written an outdoor blog for three years now on behalf of a company for which I work. For the last two years, I’ve written about the outdoors and outdoor blogging on behalf of an organization I helped found and which I run, the Outdoor Bloggers Summit. I’ve spent a great deal of time thinking about, and writing about the outdoors, but I’ve always been doing it on behalf of someone or something else. My first concern had to be the company or organization for which I was writing, and because of that I couldn’t always say what I really wanted to say.
Now, at last, I have an outdoor blog of my very own. Here I can say what I want, when I want, with no worries that anything I say and any opinions I express here will reflect on anyone except me. It’s a rather exciting thought.
Now, for those who don’t know me, here’s a bit about who I am and why I have this blog.
I’m a confirmed indoor bookworm who is learning to love and enjoy and participate in the outdoors.
I’ve been blessed with a lot of wonderful outdoor friends who have taken me into their world and taught me a lot.
I’m passionate about outdoor blogging, so much so that I donate a lot of my free time to an organization that encourages it.
I’ve been called the “First Lady of Outdoor Blogging” and the “Pied Piper of Outdoor Blogging”. Both titles make me giggle, but I’m immensely flattered to have them applied to me.
My hope is that I can chronicle my journey toward being a more outdoor oriented person and that what I say here may be of some help, or at least of some interest, to others out there. I look forward to sharing my stories with you, and I hope you’ll share yours with me as well.
